Subscribe to Text Service for Updates and Important Info

Hi Students,

If you are just dying to get a head start on the school year please check out the information below and sign-up for the appropriate class/classes.  All of the classes will be reset so if you signed up last year you must sign up again!

Please make sure to use the correct code for your class, otherwise you won’t get the information you need.

Ms. Cossey

In an effort to make sure that all students/parents have the most up-to-date information possible I will again be using Remind to send text reminders to students.  This service is free to you and will allow me to send updates and reminders to all the students.  This along with the choir website will be the main avenue of communication I use.  Please read the information below about how to sign up.  It is super fast and easy.  You just need your cell phone.

Remind Codes:

All students text the following number: (657) 900-4160 with the appropriate code listed below.

SDHS Chamber Singers: @csingers
SDHS Women’s Ensemble: @sdwe
SDHS Chorale: @sdchorale

Lone Hill Chamber Singers: @lhcs
Lone Hill Boys Choir: @lhboychoir
Lone Hill Girls Choir: @lhgirlsing

All codes are lower case and contain no spaces.  If the code isn’t exact it won’t work.  If you have used Remind before it will recognize your phone number and you are done, if not, it will prompt you to add your first and last name, this is what displays when you register so please use your full name and not a nickname.

** Extra credit for anyone who does this before the first day of school :)

2014-2015 Chamber Singers Announcement:

The list will be posted on the band room door THIS FRIDAY, MAY 30th.  If your name  is on the list for LHCS next year you must complete and return an attendance contract no later than 3:30pm on TUESDAY, JUNE 2.  Failure to do this will result in forfeiture of your spot in the ensemble and that spot will go to a student on the waiting list.

Congratulations and have a wonderful summer!!!
Ms. Cossey

Last night’s “Pop” Show concert was a great success!  I am so proud of the work you have all done this year and I am looking forward to hearing you audition very soon.

LHCS: We will all meet Thursday, May 15th and Friday, May 16th.

Congrats again… the year is almost over :)

Parent Volunteers Needed!

It’s hard to believe that tomorrow night is the final concert of the year!  The concert will be held outside and will begin at 6:30pm.  The call time for students will be 6pm.  I am moving the call time back so please make sure that all students arrive ON TIME!!

I still need parent volunteers to help sell tickets and pass out programs at the door.  If you can help, please plan on arriving at 5:30pm.

Thank you all for another great year at the “Hill”.  I look forward to seeing many of you at the concert tomorrow night :)

LHMS: Pop Show Costume Details!!

Below is a description of the costumes for each group.  Please feel free to bring in pictures if you have questions about the specifics or email me with questions.

You don’t need to go out and buy anything new for this.  Borrow from a friend or parent, make something, or check out a local thrift store or the good will.

Boys Choir: Blue Jeans, Bright solid colored t-shirt (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, or pink).  Tennis shoes, any color is fine.

Girls Choir: Dress, jumper, or skirt and top.  Can be tattered or have patches.  Think muted colors.  Boots, flats, or sneakers with socks for your shoes.  Your hair can be up, ponytail, pigtails, or down and ratted (have fun with this).  You should look like an orphan from the 20s.  Nothing too bright.  Your outfit doesn’t need to match, it can even be too big.  Remember you also need a rag to rehearse with in class starting tomorrow.  Any old rag, t-shirt, towel will do.

LHCS: Any combination of black, white and green.  Be creative.  It shouldn’t match.  Think fun patterns, mix matched, polka-dots, suspenders, tights, hats, accessories, etc.  Your hair can be done in fun, funky ways.  Think “Hunger Games” in the Emerald City :)
